How do I connect Fenestra to ChatGPT?

  1. 1

    Copy the Fenestra URL

Click copy. You'll paste it into ChatGPT in the next step.

    https://mcp.fenestra.app
  2. 2

    Settings → Plugins

In Settings, open Security and login and turn on Developer mode. Then open Plugins, press + and paste the URL.

  3. 3

    Sign in and render

Sign in to Fenestra and approve. In a new chat, add Fenestra from the tools menu and ask for a render or a video.

Needs a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) with Developer mode on. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, an admin turns Developer mode on first.

Fenestra connects to AI apps through MCP (Model Context Protocol) with one URL: https://mcp.fenestra.app. Once it's connected, share a sketch, a screenshot or a photo in the chat and say what you want.

What can you do?

  • Render a sketch or screenshot - turn a hand sketch, a SketchUp, Rhino or Revit view or a massing model into a photoreal render
  • Edit a render or photo - change the time of day, the season, the materials or the furniture, and the design stays as it is
  • Animate into video - turn a render into a short clip with a camera move, or animate from your original image to the finished render
  • Enhance to 4K - sharpen a render or photo for a client deck

Every result shows next to the image you started from and saves to your Fenestra account, so you can open it in Fenestra and keep working.

Set it up

  • ChatGPT - needs a paid ChatGPT plan with Developer mode on
  • Claude - works on every Claude plan, on the web and in the desktop app
  • Claude Code & Cursor - one command or one line of config

Yes. You sign in with your Fenestra account the first time you connect, and you can create one during that sign-in if you don't have one yet.

Renders and videos in ChatGPT and Claude use the same Fenestra credits as the app, and the connection itself costs nothing extra.

Each one is saved to your Fenestra account with the image you started from, in a ChatGPT Renders or Claude Renders project. Open it in Fenestra to keep editing.

Fenestra only receives the images and prompts you send it, never your chat history. Your images and renders stay in your Fenestra account and are not used to train AI models.
