Choose Crit Space

When you create a new project, choose Crit Space. You can switch to Studio at any time.

Choosing between Studio and Crit Space when creating a project

The canvas opens with a set of presets. Pick one to start from a ready-made setup, or close it to start from an empty canvas.

Add a node

Right-click anywhere on the canvas, or click + in the bottom toolbar, to open the node menu. Hover over a node to see what it does. You can also drop an image, video or 3D model straight onto the canvas.

The node menu showing Image Generator, Multi Shot, Enhance, Compare, Video Generator, Edit Video and 3D Generator

  • Image Generator - generate images from a text prompt, with optional reference images
  • Multi Shot - turn one image into a 3×3 sheet of shot variations
  • Enhance - upscale and sharpen a connected image
  • Compare - put two images side by side with a swipe slider
  • Video Generator - generate video from a prompt, or from a start and last frame
  • Edit Video - transform an existing video
  • 3D Generator - turn an image into a 3D model
  • Prompt - a reusable text prompt you can connect to any generator

Connect nodes by dragging from one node's handle to another. Results appear as new nodes, linked to the generator that made them.

Move around the canvas

  • Drag nodes to arrange them. Snapping is on by default and can be turned off from the controls in the bottom-right corner.
  • Hold Alt while dragging to duplicate a node.
  • Press T to add a text label.

Organise with sections

Select several nodes and click Create section to group them. Double-click the section name to rename it, and pick a colour from the section toolbar.

Leave notes and mark up

Right-click and choose Leave Note to drop a sticky note for a collaborator. Notes come in several colours and show who left them.

To point at something specific, pick the pen from the bottom toolbar and draw directly on the canvas.

Work together

Click Share in the top-right to invite colleagues or clients to the board. Everyone works on the same canvas, so you can leave notes, try out ideas and review options together.
