Photograph the kitchen as it is, then change one part at a time with a prompt or the client's reference image.

AI can redesign a kitchen from a photo. Photograph the kitchen as it is, then change the worktop, cabinets or lighting and leave the rest of the room alone.

Start in ChatGPT when the client has an idea, or in Fenestra when they've sent a reference image. Renders you make in ChatGPT save to your Fenestra project, so both routes end up in the same place.

Can AI redesign my kitchen from a photo?

Yes. Every version starts from the site photo, so take a good one:

  • Stand where you can see the longest run of units.
  • Hold the phone level, in landscape.
  • Use the main lens, not the ultra-wide.
  • Shoot in daylight.

Can ChatGPT redesign my kitchen?

Yes, with the Fenestra plugin. ChatGPT helps with the ideas and Fenestra renders them into the kitchen photo. Our ChatGPT interior design guide covers setup.

  1. Add Fenestra in ChatGPT and sign in.
  2. Tell it where to save: "Save my Fenestra renders to the Harris Kitchen project."
  3. Attach the site photo and describe the change: "Use Fenestra to make the island green marble. Keep everything else as it is."
  4. Ask for one change per message.

How do you use AI to remodel a kitchen?

Use Regional Edit in Fenestra and change one part at a time. It uses Flux 3's region-based prompting, so each box you draw gets its own prompt, its own reference image, or both. When the client sends a kitchen they like, crop the part they want and put it in a box.

The kitchen at the top took three boxes, one run each:

Islandgreen marble with white veining, waterfall ends
Back countercoffee machine
Peopleone making coffee, one at the sink
  1. Open the photo in Studio and pick Regional Edit from the toolbar. It runs on Flux 3.
  2. Drag a box over the part you want to change.
  3. Type what goes there, or add a reference image by dropping it on the box, pasting it or picking it from your assets. With an image in the box, the text is optional.
  4. Add more boxes if you need them, then click Edit.

The island box. The ceiling, cabinets and light stay as they were.

Run the boxes one at a time to show the client each step:

What prompt works for AI kitchen design?

Name the material, colour and finish. A Regional Edit box can take just a few words: the back counter box above said only "coffee machine". In ChatGPT, also say what stays:

Use Fenestra to render this kitchen with pale oak cabinet fronts and white quartz worktops. Keep the walls, windows, layout and appliances as they are.

More room-by-room prompts are in our AI interior design prompts.

Can AI design my bathroom?

Yes, the same way. Photograph the bathroom as it is, then box the tiles, vanity or taps in Regional Edit.

Can AI design a kitchen from a floor plan?

Yes, as a visual. Our plans-to-interiors guide shows how to turn a 2D plan into a rendered room. Settle the layout first, then render it.
